Dr. Craig Stout, born in Loudonville, New York in 1958, completed his undergraduate biology degree at Northeastern University in Boston, graduating Cum Laude. In 1985, he graduated University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery as a member of Gorgas Odontological Honor Society.
After graduation, Dr. Stout took a clinical instructors position at the University of Maryland Dental School in the Special Patient Clinic, as well as part time private practice in Crofton. In 1989, Dr. Stout went full time in private practice in Crofton, Baltimore and Columbia. He limited his practice to Crofton in 1996.
Happily married, Dr. Stouts’ family includes his wife Elaina and five boys, Michael, Taylor, Samuel, Jordan and Alexander.
Dr. Richard Carlson was born in Portland, Maine in 1959. He was afforded the opportunity to move about the country and abroad, (Rota, Spain), as he is the son of a Naval Aviator. Dr. Carlson graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology.
He followed that degree in 1985 with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He graduated with Honors from the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Society. Dr. Carlson has completed extensive postgraduate training in the restoration of Dental Implants. He has a special interest in the cosmetic restoration of the oral cavity. He is an Associate Fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute. He is a member of the Academy for Sports Dentistry and has acted as the team dentist for the Villanova University Mens Lacrosse team and Saint Mary’s High School athletic teams.
Dr. Carlson has been practicing in Crofton since 1998 when he joined his long time friend and dental school classmate, Dr. Craig Stout. Prior to that he practiced in Annapolis. Dr. Carlson resides in Arnold with his wife Tara, his daughter Courtney (who attends the University of Maryland, College Park as an Animal Science major) and two Labrador retrievers, Dug and Cosmo. His two sons Alex and Reed have graduated college with degrees in Finance from Saint Josephs University and Villanova University, respectively.
Special interests include travel, food and wine, golf and the beach.
Dr. Babak Dastani grew up in nearby Mitchellville, Md. He graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a degree in Biology. After college, he pursued his passion for dentistry at the University Of Maryland School of Dentistry where he graduated from the Psi Omega and Gamma Pi Delta dental societies.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Dastani completed a General Practice Residency at the Baltimore VA Hospital. It is here where Dr. Dastani received advanced training treating medically complex patients in the areas of dental implantology, endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and periodontics. Dr. Dastani has continued to stay current with the latest trends in dentistry and the newest dental materials through his numerous continuing education hours.
In his free time, Dr. Dastani enjoys golfing, fishing and most importantly spending time with friends and family.
Dr. John Bowman
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, Dr. Bowman attended the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in 1976. Before joining Dobbin Dental Suite, his wife, Fran, and he lived in Philadelphia where Dr. Bowman served as Director at Albert Einstein Medical Center’s General Practice Dental Residency Program, as well as being a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine.
In 1983, Dr. Bowman and his family moved to Baltimore where he received a Master in Science (M.S.) from the University of Maryland Dental School in Oral Pathology.
Presently, Dr. Bowman and his wife live in Owings Mills and they have two adult children, Katie and Michael, as well a cocker spaniel, Mimi.
